It all started when I wrote about flaring nostrils and ended with the question, “what did you do over Summer break?”
Shelby Register was born and raised between upstate New York and South Georgia and a few places in between. She was deemed a “writer” in fifth grade when she wrote about horses for a state writing test. Her family picked up and moved to South Georgia where she spent the next seven years thinking a classmate’s name was Windy (it was Wendy) and trying to avoid Kamikaze gnats from dive-bombing her eyeballs.
Shelby and her husband, Andrew, reside in North Georgia where she enjoys telling the tale of “that time she spent the Summer at a nudist resort.”
